The Role

This role focuses on overseeing the company's web applications and related modules. The successful candidate will lead a team of test automation engineers and take charge of driving the test automation strategy, development, and best practices. The role involves offering direction and support to team members, ensuring fast communication with stakeholders, and providing timely feedback on the status of the applications under test to developers and business representatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test strategies for products under test
• Execute various testing techniques to identify bugs
• Report bugs and follow up on their resolution
• Design and create test automation frameworks from scratch
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end and API tests
• Set up and manage CI/CD infrastructure and pipelines
• Provide guidance and support to the test automation engineers on the team
• Assist developers in their test automation tasks
• Offer quick feedback to developers and business representatives on the product's current state
• Support developers in investigating issues
• Oversee the existing web test automation tools and assess the need for new tools
• Deliver training on test automation tools
• Create user-friendly documentation for testing tools

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Strong knowledge of the testing domain
• At least 5 years of experience in testing web-based applications
• At least 3 years of experience in test automation development with Cypress
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (knowledge of Java and/or Python is an advantage)
• Experience in both end-to-end and API testing and automation
• Hands-on experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and pipelines (preferably GitLab, Jenkins is a plus)
• Proficiency in SQL query creation
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Proactive team player
• Fluency in both written and spoken English

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience with Git
• Familiarity with Postman
• Experience working in Scrum teams
• Prior experience in a lead or senior role
