Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Finance Manager (based on experience level) to oversee financial management and accounting for one of their leading crypto brands. This role demands expertise in traditional finance and accounting, along with a deep understanding of the unique aspects of crypto accounting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and excel at managing the complexities of crypto financial operations.

Position Details:

Role: Senior Accountant/Finance Manager (Crypto Casino), reporting to the Head of Finance
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Oversee cryptocurrency transactions such as buying, selling, and transfers, ensuring accurate and timely accounting.
• Take full ownership of the P&L and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to ensure accurate reporting and safeguard crypto and fiat assets.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams to maintain compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Operations, to support financial planning and resource allocation.
• Lead or contribute to projects focusing on process improvement, automation, and accounting software implementation.
• Support financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or ACCA certification is a plus).
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role within an online crypto casino, or experience combining online casino and crypto exchange operations.
• Familiarity with crypto accounting, including tracking and reporting digital assets.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations, particularly as they relate to crypto transactions.
• High attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial reporting, tax filing, and audit processes, including crypto-related tax matters.
• Proficient in accounting tools such as Xero; experience with blockchain analytics tools is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) as they apply to crypto transactions.
