Our client is looking for a Senior DevOps & Corporate IT Team Leader to lead a team of DevOps Engineers and Corporate IT professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring automation, scalability, security, and reliability across infrastructure and internal IT systems. The position involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based solutions, IT infrastructure, and monitoring systems to support both development teams and corporate IT operations.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of DevOps Engineers and Corporate IT professionals.
• Ensure smooth operational execution across multiple locations while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
• Facilitate effective communication across multiple time zones.
• Set clear goals, monitor progress, and ensure timely achievement of objectives.
• Obtain unfiltered feedback from team members, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee IT support and infrastructure management to ensure seamless internal IT operations.
• Develop training programs to enhance technical expertise and maintain high performance standards.

Technology & Operational Efficiency

• Architect, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP).
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement automated solutions to enhance reliability.
• Ensure security best practices are adhered to in deployments, infrastructure, and internal IT management.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to optimize performance and deployment strategies.
• Manage and improve container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Automate scaling, logging, and alerting to improve system resilience.
• Support incident response and conduct post-mortem analyses to enhance system stability.
• Oversee corporate IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise IT systems, networks, and user management.
• Manage enterprise applications, IT support, and helpdesk operations to provide seamless IT support to employees.
• Oversee IT asset procurement, software licensing, and vendor relationships.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading and scaling a DevOps team, optimizing workflows for efficiency and growth.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Understanding of networking, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Expertise in corporate IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, VPNs, endpoint management, and IT security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for distributed systems and microservices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with serverless computing (Cloudflare Workers, GCP Cloud Functions, GCP Cloud Run).
• Knowledge of database management (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• GCP certifications would be considered an asset.
