Regulatory Compliance Officer
Our client is seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure the company maintains its current licenses across multiple jurisdictions, including Great Britain, Malta, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Romania, Greece, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring ongoing compliance with all regulatory obligations tied to these licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure continued compliance with all obligations under existing gaming licenses across various jurisdictions.
- Manage day-to-day compliance operations, including mandatory reporting, filing annual returns, processing license fee payments, and handling ad-hoc requests from regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and evaluate regulatory developments in both current and prospective jurisdictions, providing relevant updates and impact assessments to the wider organization.
- Support the commercial team with compliance guidance, particularly in relation to market expansions and emerging licensing regimes.
- Lead and manage licensing projects for entry into new markets or jurisdictions
- Maintain and update internal compliance documentation, records, and registers.
- Review Remote Technical Standards documents and conduct gap analyses.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, handling communications and responding to any official inquiries or requests.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with regulatory stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Product Compliance team to ensure audit readiness and successful audit outcomes.
- Act as the designated key function holder for internal audits with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience in regulatory compliance, specifically within the gaming and licensing sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing and maintaining gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions (e.g., Great Britain, Malta, Sweden)
- Strong track record of executing day-to-day compliance activities, including mandatory reporting and regulatory communications.
- Proficiency in monitoring legal and regulatory changes and disseminating insights across the organization.
- Proven ability to manage licensing projects and market entry initiatives.
- Competent in updating compliance records and internal documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with regulatory authorities and addressing their queries.
- Strong relationship-building abilities with regulatory stakeholders.
- Collaborative team mindset with the ability to support successful audit processes.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward compliance challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B environments and/or test labs.
- Regulatory compliance experience in one or more of the following markets: United States, Colombia, Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Greece, Brazil.
- Established professional relationships with key authorities such as the Great Britain Gambling Commission and/or the Malta Gaming Authority.
