Our client, a leading iGaming provider based in Malta, is looking to appoint a Finance Director to lead and strengthen its financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller ready to step into a more strategic leadership role while staying close to the day-to-day financial management of the business.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Controlling, a deep understanding of the iGaming industry, and the ability to provide both operational and strategic financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance function, with a strong focus on Controlling, financial planning, and accurate reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis, ensuring alignment with business targets.
• Work closely with the executive leadership team to provide financial insight that supports decision-making and sustainable growth.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and financial governance in line with regulatory requirements and best practices in the gaming industry.
• Manage financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Support tax compliance, regulatory filings, and statutory audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and high-quality output.
• Contribute to the financial aspects of business expansion initiatives and potential M&A projects, although prior M&A experience is not essential.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified finance professional (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent).
• Strong background in Controlling with proven experience in financial leadership roles, ideally as a Senior Financial Controller or similar.
• Previous experience in the iGaming industry, preferably with a B2B or platform provider.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning processes.
• Hands-on and proactive approach with the ability to work across both strategic and operational levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders.
• A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commercial awareness.
