Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law with a particular focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation, as well as general corporate legal matters.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the business with legal guidance on commercial transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and internal policies. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to grow within a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and supplier contracts.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, obligations, and commercial implications of contractual arrangements.
• Support corporate governance matters such as board resolutions, company secretarial duties, and corporate filings.
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, both locally and internationally.
• Maintain and update internal legal documentation and templates.
• Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.

Requirements

• Law degree and warrant/license to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a corporate legal or commercial law environment.
• Strong experience in contract law and corporate legal matters.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and business-minded approach.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
