Technical Sales Manager
Our client is a rapidly growing startup providing cutting-edge internet security services, including DDoS protection and cybersecurity infrastructure for businesses across Malta and international markets.
About the Role
They are looking for a Technical Sales Manager with a strong background in hosting environments, networking, and cybersecurity solutions. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between sales and technical delivery — understanding complex client requirements and translating them into tailored, effective solutions.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions meet both commercial and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their infrastructure, security, and performance requirements.
- Present and promote cybersecurity, hosting, and DDoS mitigation solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deliver bespoke technical proposals.
- Conduct technical demonstrations and product walkthroughs.
- Support the sales cycle with in-depth product and infrastructure knowledge.
- Stay updated on new technologies, emerging security threats, and hosting trends.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in technical or pre-sales roles within hosting, networking, or cybersecurity environments.
- Strong understanding of DDoS protection, cloud infrastructure, CDN, or server hosting.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for technology and a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in internet service providers, hosting companies, or cybersecurity vendors.
- Familiarity with iGaming or fintech clients (a plus).
- Certifications in networking or security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, etc.) are advantageous.
