Our client, a leading international provider in the online entertainment and sports betting industry is seeking a competent and dedicated Accountant to join their finance team. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio that includes sports betting, live betting, casino, live casino, and a wide range of exciting games.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in collaboration with the finance team.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare documentation for external audits.
• Tax Filing: Prepare and file tax reports (VAT, Income Tax, Gaming Taxes) with the relevant authorities.
• Accounting: Contribute to ongoing accounting processes and daily financial operations.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance accounting processes and internal controls.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with finance colleagues and cross-departmental teams both in Malta and in international offices.
• Group Accounting: Support the consolidation process for group reporting.
• Management Accounts: Prepare quarterly management accounts.
• Inter-company Recharging: Manage and reconcile inter-company transactions.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct additional analyses related to cash management, banking, payments, treasury, and finance administration in collaboration with the Head of Finance.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant – CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and Maltese GAAP), Malta tax law (particularly VAT), and experience with Gaming Taxes is considered an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, independent, and team-oriented work approach.
• Knowledge of the German language is considered an advantage.
