Cloud Engineer
Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize its cloud infrastructure across diverse multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and ideally Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role also involves supporting Microsoft 365, Intune, Atlassian products, and various automation technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in both Windows and Linux server administration, covering configuration, management, and troubleshooting within enterprise-level Windows environments. A solid understanding of networking principles and technologies is essential, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and cloud network architecture. Experience within the banking industry is considered highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services across AWS and Azure platforms; OCI experience is considered an asset.
- Manage the Microsoft 365 environment and associated enterprise applications.
- Configure and administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security compliance.
- Support and manage Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to enhance collaboration across teams.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to enable automated provisioning and configuration.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux Server environments in both hybrid and cloud architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and networking issues, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement identity and access management (IAM) and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to cloud migration initiatives and the automation of deployment and monitoring pipelines.
- Maintain documentation and best practices related to cloud architecture, operations, and disaster recovery.
- Nice to have: Apply banking industry knowledge to ensure cloud solutions align with sector-specific regulatory and security standards.
Core Competencies:
- Proven experience managing AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with OCI or willingness to acquire proficiency.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services and Intune.
- Experience with Atlassian products for project and workflow management.
- Proficiency with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Solid skills in Windows Server and Linux server administration.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall configuration.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, especially in complex cloud environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 4–5 years of IT support experience, with a strong focus on cloud computing (AWS, Azure, and/or Oracle Cloud).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud computing certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator) are considered an advantage.
- Experience within a Credit Institution or the broader Financial Services sector would be viewed as beneficial.
