Accounts Assisting Manager
Our client is looking for a fully qualified accountant to join their team and co-manage the Accounts Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated professional ready for the next step.
The chosen candidate will manage a portfolio of clients while leading and supporting members of the accounting team. Strong English is essential; Italian is considered an asset.
Requirements
University of Malta degree (Hons/Masters in Accountancy) or ACCA
Warrant to practice Accountancy in Malta
Recognised Maltese VAT qualification / experience
Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar firm
Key Responsibilities
Co-manage a team of 4–5
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and deadlines
Review staff work and supervise daily operations
Provide VAT advice to clients
Liaise with auditors and internal departments
Skills
Able to work independently
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
Confident leading and motivating others
Good knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and Maltese VAT
