Legal Counsel
The Legal Counsel will play a key role in ensuring that the organisation operates in accordance with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards. As part of the Legal Commercial function, the role provides legal support to commercial teams across multiple entities and contributes to the wider global legal team.
Main Responsibilities
Acting as a primary legal partner to the commercial function, leading day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting of a wide range of commercial agreements and related documentation.
Leading the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts using and continuously improving standard templates, including Service Terms and Conditions and reseller agreements.
Ensuring alignment with company policies and risk frameworks by reviewing contractual terms and providing guidance in line with internal standards and approved positions.
Managing amendments, variations, and extensions of existing agreements to ensure business continuity while protecting the organisation’s legal and financial interests.
Overseeing contract lifecycle management, including monitoring renewal and extension timelines and proactively managing related negotiation strategies.
Providing clear, commercially focused legal advice to management by presenting legal risks, practical options, and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.
Collaborating closely with commercial, finance, and operational teams to support business objectives while maintaining strong legal governance.
Supporting the wider legal function on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc legal matters as required.

Qualifications and Skills
Doctor of Laws or equivalent Legal Degree.
Minimum of two years’ experience practicing as a lawyer.
Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
Excellent command of the English language.
Excellent command of the Maltese language is a significant advantage.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and proactively recommend effective solutions.
