Our client is seeking a Game Artist who will be responsible for defining the overall visual and experiential quality of slot games from concept through to release.

This role requires a holistic product mindset, where art, mechanics, game flow, animations, and player perception are designed as a unified system.

The successful candidate will ensure that game mechanics are presented in a clear, creative, and engaging way, making gameplay intuitive, enjoyable, and emotionally rewarding for players.

The Game Artist will act not only as an executor but also as a key contributor who actively shapes the overall game experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Player Experience Ownership

• Own the visual and experiential quality of each game as a complete product.

• Design visuals that clearly communicate game mechanics and rules.

• Ensure gameplay is intuitive and easy to understand for players.

• Create visual flows that naturally guide players through gameplay and features.

• Enhance player engagement by making gameplay emotionally rewarding.

Creative & Game Design Contribution

• Contribute to ideation of game mechanics, themes, and overall flow.

• Propose creative visual and animation solutions to improve gameplay clarity and engagement.

• Apply best practices while introducing fresh ideas to maintain competitiveness.

Art Production

• Produce high-quality graphics including symbols, backgrounds, UI elements, and effects.

• Work across a variety of art styles, from cartoon to realistic.

• Ensure visual consistency throughout the project.

• Prepare and optimize assets for integration into the game engine.

• Ensure assets meet technical and performance standards.

Market & Trend Awareness

• Research market trends in slot games and related themes.

• Analyse competitor products and identify differentiation opportunities.

• Propose visual directions that strengthen market positioning.

Marketing & Positioning Awareness

• Understand how products are promoted across different markets.

• Adapt visuals to support marketing and store presentation needs.

• Create assets that enhance product visibility and recognition.

Ownership & Collaboration

• Take full ownership of visual quality from concept to release.

• Collaborate with designers, developers, animators, QA, marketing, and producers.

• Potentially lead and mentor other artists.

• Ensure alignment between creative output and business goals.

Mentorship

• Support team members and provide guidance when needed.

• Share knowledge, best practices, and standards.

• Help maintain consistent visual quality across projects.

Design Process Streamlining

• Recommend improvements in creative and technical workflows.

• Enhance communication, automation, and production processes.

• Drive initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in game-related design.

• Strong background in slot games or similar casual/mobile products.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Deep understanding of UI/UX principles in gaming.

• Strong awareness of how art supports gameplay and player comprehension.

• Understanding of design and animation within the full product lifecycle.

• Ability to think systemically beyond visual execution.

• Confidence working across multiple art styles.

• Advanced skills in Photoshop.

• Practical knowledge of modern AI tools for art production.

• Ability to generate AI-based assets consistent with existing styles.

• Experience preparing assets for development integration.

• Strong creativity combined with a sense of production ownership.
