Our client is seeking a motivated and hardworking Accounting Executive to join their growing finance team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is eager to build a career in accounting, even if they are still at the early stages of their journey — whether they have some accounting experience, have studied Accounting at A-Level, or are looking for their first serious opportunity within finance.

The selected candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, financial administration, and reporting tasks, while gaining exposure to a broad range of finance functions and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Support

• Assist with daily accounting entries, reconciliations, and bookkeeping tasks.

• Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.

• Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately and on time.

• Assist with bank reconciliations and monitoring cash transactions.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure documentation is properly organised.

Reporting & Administration

• Support the preparation of VAT returns and other financial filings.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and internal reviews.

• Help maintain accounting systems and ensure data is kept up to date.

Operational Support

• Liaise with suppliers, banks, and internal departments where necessary.

• Support the finance team with administrative and ad hoc accounting duties.

• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies within the finance function.

Requirements

Experience & Background

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role would be considered an asset, though not essential.

• Candidates with an Accounting A-Level or those currently studying ACCA or another accounting qualification are encouraged to apply.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software would be considered beneficial.
