Payroll Associate
Manage accurate monthly payroll for a diverse client portfolio in Malta, using Shireburn Indigo while supporting registrations, payments and client queries in a collaborative team.
Our client, an established professional services organisation, is looking to recruit a Payroll Executive to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of payroll services across a portfolio of clients, handling monthly payroll processes, employee registrations and terminations, and assisting clients with payroll-related queries.
Responsibilities
Assist with the management and administration of a portfolio of clients, including client onboarding, coordination and billing.
Process monthly payroll accurately and within the required deadlines.
Coordinate salary payments to employees and payroll-related payments to relevant third parties.
Handle payroll administration relating to new employees and employment terminations.
Prepare payroll-related forms, documentation and other required submissions on behalf of clients.
Register newly established companies with the relevant Maltese authorities, including the IRD and Jobsplus.
Manage employee registrations and terminations with Jobsplus and the IRD.
Respond to and assist clients with payroll-related queries and issues.
Coordinate internally to understand client requirements and ensure an efficient payroll service.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure documentation is properly processed and maintained.
Support the team with other payroll and administrative duties as required.
Requirements
1–2 years of relevant payroll experience.
Previous experience using Shireburn Indigo for payroll processing.
Payroll-related courses or qualifications would be considered an advantage.
Good understanding of payroll administration and employment-related processes in Malta.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with payroll data and documentation.
Good organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet recurring deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Good communication skills and a client-focused approach.
